At Manorvale we provide parents and families with a report on their child’s progress twice a year. These reports can be accessed through the Compass Parent Portal and can be provided as a hard copy on request. The student reports follow the guidelines developed by the Department of Education and Training here.
Together our mid-year and end-of-year reports aim to provide families with:
Goals and Achievements
At Manorvale Primary School Ongoing Goals and Achievements are completed in Week 5 and Week 10 of each term. Each student receives goals and achievements for Reading, Writing, Maths, Social and Emotional Learning, Inquiry, Italian, Art, Physical Education and Library. These are communicated to families via Compass.
They allow teachers, students and families to receive ongoing and timely feedback based on the learning that is occurring within the classroom spaces while allowing families and students to practice learning at home based on their current and most relevant learning goal.
We also hold parent/carer teacher interviews in term 1 and three way conferences at the end of term 2 to give students and families the opportunity to discuss the student’s progress with the teacher, and to develop future learning goals. Furthermore, parents/carers are invited to contact the classroom and specialist teachers whenever there is a need. The only request we make is that such contact takes place outside of teaching time.
