SW-PBS
Manorvale Primary School commenced as a School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SW-PBS) school in 2012. In 2019 we are in our eighth year of being a SW-PBS school.
SW-PBS is not a program but rathera framework: a prevention-oriented process that supports the needs and culture of the school through a broad range of strategies for achieving important social and learning outcomes, while preventing problem behaviour.
The key attributes of SWPBS include preventive activities, rewards for positive behaviour, data-based decision making and a problem-solving orientation.
At Manorvale Primary School we have four school-wide expectations:
These four expectations are expanded in our School Matrix, which describes in positive language the specific expected behaviours in different settings around the school.
